Dr. VA Sastry

Dr. VA Sastry has over 25 years of professional software experience with specialization in software quality management and is a successful entrepreneur.

Dr. Sastry was a Director on the Board of Infosys Technologies Ltd, Bangalore, responsible for Quality and Productivity. At Infosys, he has been credited with the achievement of the ISO 9001/TickIT certification for the company. During his distinguished career, Dr. Sastry has been responsible for the successful completion of a number of software projects of varying sizes in the field of Process Control and Simulation and has been associated with Tata Consulting Engineers and Macmet's Simulation System division.

Dr. Sastry as a co-founder of RelQ, built a large testing practice company which was recently acquired by EDS. Dr. Sastry is a Director at MUSA Software Engineering that does consulting on ISO & SEI/CMM for various large IT Companies.

Dr Sastry is on the Board of National Stock Exchange and is on their System Advisory Committee.

Dr. Sastry staunchly believes that a healthy mind is a necessity for a healthy body. His mantra to ensure a healthy body and mind is through meditation and spiritual cleanliness.

Dr. Sastry holds Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Warangal, and a PhD in Computer Applications from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
